Plymouth's Mission & Service Board is opening up the opportunity for Plymouth Leaders to sponsor a Service Corps Project on Saturday, June 26th 2021.
We will gather in the church parking lot at 9:00am for a blessing and we will spread out throughout our community doing local service work & sharing God's love in partnership with community members & local mission partners.
Do you have a non-profit and/or mission project idea that you would like to sponsor?
Are you able to take the lead on assessing supply needs, budget, coordinating with the community/individuals receiving care & recruiting 2-3 volunteers?
Are you able to commit to leading the group & the project that day?
Plymouth Church will provide project funding for supplies and other volunteers as needed. Not all projects will meet the parameters of our Service Corps Project. We will be in touch to let you know if your project has been selected.
Able to be completed in one day
Cost of supplies approx $200-$800
The application deadline is May 20th 2021.
Contact Rev. Caroline Dean or Liz Smith with follow up questions.
“The Mission and Service Board will unite for the worship of God and the service of all by initiating, enabling, and coordinating the mission and service priorities of Plymouth Church in partnership with the United Church of Christ.
We will organize liaisons & determine financial commitments for our mission partners, while supporting the education of the congregation and wider community about each mission partner, telling the story of their transformative impact in our community. We will cultivate social and climate justice education, activism & public witness through interfaith partnerships & Plymouth working groups. We will initiate partnerships which respond to local needs in the Lawrence community.”
